The Get Up 2 Dance
Here at Liberty Games we love dance machines. We’re the biggest suppliers of these fun and iconic arcade machines in the UK, and have in-depth knowledge of the genre and have advised countless homes and businesses on them.
However we normally do get a couple of requests that until now we’ve had trouble being able to fulfill. Firstly people want a dance machine that can fit through their door! It might sound like a no-brainer, but the existing crop of Japanese dance machines are a bit chubby to say the least. But you can’t blame them, they were originally designed to take pride of place in an arcade, and in fact be chubby enough to be imposing as in the world of commercial arcades bigger means more takings! They also rely on CRT monitors to drive their graphics.
Secondly people want more recognisable songs, and more of them! As mentioned above many of the current crop come from Japan meaning that although the songs are fun and poppy the actual artists may be unknown to many people in the UK. They also only have a limited selection of these songs, and upgrading is a painful and expensive process requiring changing hardware within the machine.
Oh yeah and one other thing, people wanted the machines to be cheaper!
Ok so we listened, thought about it, got to work and now here is the amazing and revolutionary Get Up 2 Dance Arcade Machine!
The GU2D answers all of these questions and lots more! Firstly the machine has been designed to easily fit though a standard doorway. Using a high definition 27″ LCD screen, the picture is not only clearer, crisper and bigger than you’d expect from the old CRTs on current dance machines, but it also means the GU2D can be a lot thinner. It also utilizes advanced speaker and amplification technology meaning that it still kicks out a real thumping sound (appologies to our neighbours) in the same thin frame.
As for songs the GU2D not only comes with names and songs you will actually recognise, but it comes with plenty of them. Not only that but the GU2D is designed to be easily upgradeable via CD or USB so you can purchase additional song packs in the future to keep the songs as fresh as your dance moves!
