Pilot the X-Wing Fighter in the classic arcade game!

Based on the attack on the Death Star sequence from the classic film Star Wars: A New Hope, you pilot your X-Wing Fighter blasting away TIE Fighters, zooming across the surface and roaring down the trench to destroy the Death Star!

You battle squads of attacking TIE fighters as well as Darth Vader's ship in the attempt to accomplish your goal!

Six years after the film was released, Star Wars the videogame was an instant success worldwide and is argubaly the pinnicale of Atari's investment in the arcade arena with its heavy investment in artwork, plastic mouldings and a memorable flight controller! This is a classic early example of arcade film tie ins and colour vectors being pushed to their limit!
