Arcade machine

This beauty could be in your living room, basement, or even kitchen

To all you young coders... this is your lucky day. Well, not quite - luck isn’t really involved.

But if you love to code, can impress our panel of judges, AND jump over a moat filled with rabid, mutant crocodiles then we might have something you’re interested in. One of these criteria may not be strictly accurate, but could make good inspiration for a winning entry...

Let's do this!

You have until the 4th December 2015 to submit your entries to us using the form below. Please include a link to a video which demonstrates your game.

The Rules

  • DO create a single-player, single-level game.
  • DO write in any Windows / Linux / Raspberry Pi compatible language or framework.
  • DO create in a ‘retro arcade’ style – think the best of arcade games from the 80s and 90s.
  • DO use the keyboard for all controls.
  • DO show us just the gameplay in your entry video. A voice-over can be used to explain why you think your game is awesome!
  • DON’T create any games that need more than six buttons or a standard 8-way joystick to play.
  • DON’T make the game require credits to play.
  • DON’T use any copyrighted materials in your game.
