Cue Craft P8P1 8 Ball Pool Cue

Cue just arrived and is exactly as requested.

I ordered a Cue Craft cue using Liberty's website, which has a form which allows you to state your exact requirements of length, weight, tip size and make, etc. My preferred specification isn't narrow tip or light weight, so Liberty phoned me to double check that I'd entered the correct details. I was impressed that they paid attention to detail like that, but yes I do like a shorter cue, heavy weight, and a slightly bigger tip than some players prefer - 9mm not 7-8. Really my ideal is 8.75, but try getting that re-tipped round these parts. So I stick to 9mm, which is an easy size for retipping where I live. As stated, Liberty took the time and trouble to check the spec with me, lets face it, if I had entered it wrong by accident, it would not have ended well, so top marks for Liberty Games Customer Service.

Its a 3 piece, I know, 1-piece is best, but for Away matches we have to jump into taxis which sometimes arent very big, AND our local league has some tables in cramped pubs or in social clubs where the table gets moved around for functions ... so some venues have tight spaces, so its helpful to be able to shorten your cue for some shots in some venues.

The wood grain matches up on the joins. Yes I know it should do, of course it should, but its satisfying to see that it actually does. Looks like its made by jointing a one-piece blank ... so many popular makes don't seem to bother, or cover the grain. I'm sure no one else may notice, as I chose a simple cue, not a flashy one, but when its your cue, its those little things that make you pleased. We all know that whatever level you play at, pool is sometimes about confidence, not always skill, so every little positive thing helps doesn't it.

The delivery timescale quoted when I ordered seemed long at the time, my expectation was well into September, but it arrived at the beginning of August, which is way way sooner than I expected, which is top marks to the maker Cue Craft. Soon as the school summer holidays end, it will hopefully allow a bit of quieter time on nearby pub pool tables to practice before the winter pool season starts here in Cornwall. I didn't think I would get much, if any, time to play the cue in, before league season starts - now I'm optimistic. Just need to get to September, less tourists standing close round a pub pool table, and hopefully one with no drinks spills or crisp crumbs ....
