Product Description
It's one of the most celebrated 1990s beat-em-up video games ever made. Mortal Kombat originally hit amusement arcades and home consoles way back in 1992, becoming an instant - and controversial - success. Now, 30 years later, you can explore Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Mortal Kombat 3 all over again in your very own, dedicated, decorated arcade machine!
Also crammed into this unit is a hand-picked selection of iconic titles from Midway, the original Mortal Kombat developers. You can pick from classics like Gauntlet, Paperboy, Joust, Defender and many more whenever the Kombat gets a bit too intense.
But this machine's big attraction is in its online play! Simply connect the machine to your Wifi network and join the online battle groups! A title like Mortal Kombat is designed for versus play, so this means you can fight against real people - even when you're alone - and maybe bag a top spot on the global leaderboards!
And for when your friends and family are around, there's a second set of controls too - so you can play analogue versus games just like the old days. The controls are mapped and laid out similarly to the original arcade machines, with arcade-spec joysticks and buttons all round. You'll also have buttons for volume control, on/off and other functions.
The Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary cabinet is beautifully decorated with original Mortal Kombat artwork, fully licenced for use on this machine. An illuminated marquee up top gives it the original arcade machine look, whilst a dummy coin door in the front adds to the visual spectacle. The included machine riser lifts the machine about a foot, so you can choose whether to play standing or seated on a gaming stool.
A crystal-clear 17-inch LCD screen recreates all the original game graphics in beautiful accuracy, and a stereo speaker system with adjustable volume control takes care of the sound. All you need to do is switch on, grab a friend whether offline or online, and finish him!
