Play online and compete with players from around the world in solo and team-based events, and cement your place at the top of the global high-score leaderboards. Simply log in with your AtGames account and post your score - with some great prizes up for grabs.
The game list now operates with a smooth, intuitive page-turning system that's so much fun to browse through - or you can revert to the original grid-style menu if you prefer it. It includes some of the big arcade hitters from the 1970s through 1990s, from names like Atari, Taito and Data East.
Try your hand at the games you remember from your days in the amusement arcades, like Asteroids, Bubble Bobble, Operation Wolf, Tempest, Missile Command, Battle Toads, Centipede, Space Invaders and many more. And for the first time, a pinball game is now included with your initial game list - with no need to buy or BYOG! 200 games are preloaded into the machine, with a further 100 becoming available free when you connect your ALU to the internet and run the Day One Download.
Each game has pause, rewind, and save functionality. Your high scores are saved and parental controls are available to restrict screen time. The machine features pinball buttons as standard (with Dinosaur Dynasty pinball game included), 16GB internal storage for slick performance and an 'Attract Mode' screensaver that appears when the machine is idle for some time. There are even optional scan lines in some games - for that hyperrealistic arcade experience.
Connect your arcade via Wifi, Ethernet, or Bluetooth. Once online, you can use amazing features like ArcadeNet, AtGames' own game streaming subscription service that grants access to more than 150 hit games from the worlds of arcade, console and pinball. When online, you'll also get access to online multiplayer on some game titles, global leaderboards and voice chat, with the ability to build a Friends list with your team of crack gamers.
The Legends Ultimate also lets you play your own games via a USB stick. Supply your own legal ROMs for a number of retro game systems and package them up using Atgames' AddOnX tool.
Finally there is AppStoreX, where you can purchase new game and pinball table packs and explore whole new catalogues of games. Buy, download and play - it's that simple!
AtGames now offer two exciting ways to expand your machine:
Bring Your Own Games (BYOG)BYOG allows you to connect your PC, games console, MisterFPGA or Raspberry PI to the Legends Ultimate via HDMI (for video output) and USB/Bluetooth (for controls) to enjoy your existing game collection in true arcade fashion!
External ApplicationsThe Legends Ultimate can access community-written applications to extend the capabilities of your machine. At the time of writing, this is a brand new feature, so we're looking forward to seeing the exciting new software to come!
Please note these features are unlockable via a purchase from the AtGames e-store and are chargeable at US$100 each. You can purchase your machine with both of these features pre-unlocked by selecting the "Add Advanced Features" option above.
The Legends Ultimate has even more tricks up its sleeve. If you're a streamer, you can stream your games live to YouTube, Twitch and other live video services (and even connect a Bluetooth microphone). The internet connection also allows easy firmware updates, giving you access to exciting new features as they become available.
Also available is the Arcade Play Link (APL), enabling you to connect the arcade machine with other AtGames devices. And there's a provision for you to use accessories and special controllers, too. For example, you use compatible light guns to play shooting games. It’s called The Connected Arcade for a reason!
With all-new artwork for the 1.2 CE edition, the AtGames Legends Ultimate 300 looks - and plays - better than ever! Two joysticks and two sets of six fire buttons give you total control over your games, while two spinners with full 360-degree rotation and a full-size trackball allow you to enjoy compatible games just as they were originally intended to be played.
The 24-inch HD LCD monitor presents your games in bright colour tones. Stereo speakers, angled downwards towards the player, recreate all those iconic game sound effects and music tracks. The Legends Ultimate really is The Connected Arcade.
