Product Description
Women's football has a rich history, with matches recorded in Scotland in the late 18th century. The first recorded game in England happened in 1895. Since then, it's grown into a huge sport, with teams from many countries competing in international tournaments such as the FIFA Women's World Cup. But foosball has been slower to recognise the talents of women in football - until now.
The Elles table, from French foosball factory Rene Pierre, features two full squads of all-female players. Launched to commemorate the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, it's a glorious tribute to the inclusive nature of modern football.
The 5-foot table is built in wood, and finished with a white veneer, complete with an Elles signature in blue-green. Telescopic safety rods retract into themselves when fully extended, keeping children and other spectators safe. The playfield is a printed linoleum, which provides fast, exciting ball speeds, and raised corners keep the ball rolling back into play.
On those telescopic rods are the metal player figures, hand-painted at the factory. Two 11-a-side teams of female players line up against each other - one team wearing red shirts, the other blue. The goalkeepers are fully rotatable, meaning that they don't touch the cabinet edge and can spin freely. Auto-greasing rod lubrication means that maintenance is required less often. Grab an ergonomic rod handle, take control of your team and score that winning shot!
When goals are scored, the balls are returned to the players via the side-exit ball slot. From here you can drop it back in for kick-off in mere moments. And when you score, don't forget to record your tally on the abacus-style scoring beads. There's one at each end, colour-coded to match each team.
With strong, cross-braced legs bolted laterally, finished to match the table body, the Elles stays firmly planted, no matter how lively your game gets. Protective silver trim around the edges of the cabinet protect it from knocks, keeping the Elles looking good for longer. And the included cork balls mean you can get playing right away!
