Vinyl is making a comeback as people rediscover the joy of that mysterious black disc. In 2020, music lovers in the USA spent more on vinyl records than they did on CDs for the first time in 34 years, while in the UK collectors have always treasured vinyl, not to mention many of us who still have large collections of albums.
Now there is a sensational new way to enjoy your old and new vinyl records alike. A jukebox is probably the most exciting way to enjoy recorded music and Sound Leisure’s Marshall Long Player jukebox is the ultimate experience for your 33rpm albums. Forget dropping a scratchy needle on an old turntable – this is how your precious records should be played and heard!
Since 1962, Marshall has been one of the most familiar and best loved amplifiers in the music industry, supplying the sound behind countless musicians and relied upon by the world’s most successful acts. There could be no better company to collaborate with Sound Leisure to produce this incredible jukebox.
That partnership is immediately striking in the design of this jukebox which reflects the iconic black and gold look of a classic Marshall amp, instantly recognisable all over the world no matter what your taste in music may be. Genuine Marshall components have been used in creating this quintessential look, including knobs, logo, fret cloth and piping.
The Marshall LP jukebox holds 10 albums and both the full A and B sides can be played. In a respectful nod to the traditional phonograph, the jukebox’s ‘arm’ selects the vinyl record by the sides and carefully delivers it to the turntable. Records are selected using the Marshall control buttons or via the infra-red remote control.
Once on the turntable, the accurately balanced tone arm ensures that you will enjoy every note of your favourite album courtesy of the Sound Leisure D4 amplifier which has a special Marshall-inspired EQ curve. The five way speaker system features two mids, two tweeters and an impressive twin cone bass speaker to make your music sound better than ever before.
In a fantastic match of vintage and modern, the Marshall LP jukebox features a Bluetooth connection to enable you to pair it with any Bluetooth-enabled device, giving you access to a limitless range of music and audio, all with that wonderful jukebox sound.
You control playback of tracks either by the brushed brass Marshall buttons on the front panels or by using the remote control. Random playback or continuous playback is available and you don’t even have to drop a coin in the slot to get the record of your choice! Although there is a coin slot for an authentic retro look, the LP is not fitted with a functioning mechanism.
Each Marshall LP jukebox is hand-built in the UK by craftsmen and women in Sound Leisure’s Leeds facility and manufactured with the pride that has always gone into every Marshall amp. Every jukebox cabinet is crafted in chromed steel and wood and wrapped in the same Tolex material which embraces the outside of each Marshall amplifier cabinet.
All Marshall LP jukeboxes are individually numbered and include a certificate of Authenticity. And even when not in use, this jukebox is a beautiful and stylish addition to your home. Using the red power switch on the button bank the jukebox can be put into ‘sleep’ mode, illuminating just the iconic Marshall logo. But, with this world of superb music reproduction at your fingertips, will you ever want to press that sleep button?
