It's a slate bed pool table built to American pool specification, with the correct cushion profile, pocket cut and cloth. It looks like a dream and plays even better.
But pop on the included, matching dining tops and it converts into a dining table instantly. That slim cabinet doesn't only look good, but it allows lots of open space underneath for benches, chairs and knees. With two finish choices, two sizes, plus a range of cloth and matching furniture options, you can create your very own Malta ensemble that's perfectly suited to your games or dining room.
Real Ash Timber Construction with 2 Finish Choices
The core of the table is made in solid wood, with ash timbers forming the load-bearing parts. Ash also forms the cabinet and the legs, for a strong, long-lasting foundation. Around the cabinet sides and on the legs, attractive grooves break up the surface and add aesthetic interest. The legs are slim and flared slightly outwards, adding stability and giving the table's silhouette an attractive and minimalist look.
The rail itself is, unusually, fitted inside of the cabinet sides. This interesting feature distances the Malta from other tables where the rail is usually mounted on top. Then you can choose from two finish options over the ash base - the rustic Driftwood Ash or the slightly darker Grey Ash - both of which are light washes over the timber, retaining the attractive wood grain. Then you can marvel at the details, like the diamond-shaped mother-of-pearl cueing sights that are flush-fitted into the rail, or the real leather pocket liners.
Premium Rebound Cushions & Slate Bed
Gameplay is taken care of with premium materials, especially selected for their quality. The playfield is a one-inch slate bed, machined from real slate rock, which provides excellent shot precision and ball roll performance. Around the playfield, rubber cushions are cut to American specification to give your shots an excellent and energetic rebound.
Those real leather pocket liners help to deaden the sound of balls being potted, but also provide a safe, non-slip resting place for dining tops. The pockets themselves are drop pockets that will collect balls as the game goes on, ready for retrieval and re-racking at the end. When topped with a premium speed cloth, the Malta is ready to satisfy even the most demanding of pool players.
Comes with Accessories & Installation
The Malta comes with a special accessory pack. Curated especially for premium American pool tables, it includes a set of Aramith balls in spots 'n' stripes colours, two full-length cues and a cue rack. You can see the full kit contents at the top of this listing - but rest assured, it includes everything you need to start playing, and more besides.
Also included is our delivery and installation service. Our technical team will deliver the table to you, unpack it and assemble it. This includes fitting and calibrating the slate, and adding your chosen cloth. The team will leave the table levelled and ready to play, and can also answer any questions about maintenance.
With Optional Dining Top, Chairs & Benches
Available with your table as an optional upgrade is a dining top that matches your chosen finish perfectly. This dining top comes in three pieces, which makes the tops easier to handle and to conceal for storage. The tops are simply lifted into place, and small metal pegs slot together to ensure a perfect fit.
The optional chairs and benches are also finished to match the table. Each bench will seat around three people, and the seat can be lifted to reveal a storage space for game accessories. A low backrest adds comfort and safety, and the pad itself is soft and finished with real leather. The chairs are designed in a similar style, but with higher backrests and no storage space. With two chairs and two benches, you can comfortably seat eight people around the table for dinner.
Choose Your Cloth
We fit Hainsworth Elite Pro speed cloth to the Malta as standard. This popular cloth combines excellent ball performance with great longevity and bright, long-lasting colour. There's a vast range of colours to choose from, so you can pick your favourite and make the Malta match your environment perfectly.
The cloth is fitted during the installation process, being perfectly flattened and calibrated as it's mounted to the slate itself. Choose your preferred colour using the menu at the top of the listing!
