This sleek, beautifully-designed, 7ft American-spec table is aimed primarily at home users.
The Hyphen is completely weatherproof, resisting damp, moisture, corrosion, UV damage from sunlight and even variations in temperature. Available as optional extras are a set of dining tops that lift on, to convert your table into a dining table or desk. It's perfect for those garden socials, like barbecues and birthday parties.
Specialist Resin Laminate Playfield Bed
The play surface is made from a high-quality resin laminate, cast in one single piece. This avoids imperfections and, at 12mm thick, offers a warp-resistant, high-performance bed that doesn't warp or twist. Over this is stretched a high-quality cloth designed to be spill and shock resistant. You can clean it easily, and it won't rot if waterlogged.
The lightweight resin composite bed also makes the Hyphen very portable. Unlike a slate bed table, two reasonably strong people can lift the 112kg table and move it anywhere, so it's as flexible as you need it to be in your busy garden. Once relocated, use the foot adjusters to level the table, and fine tune this with the bed adjusters if needed. The cast resin bed on the Hyphen is a level above the MDF beds in other tables, with performance approaching that of slate. However if true slate performance is important to you, we suggest considering the California Outdoor pool table instead.
The bed is held in a rigid mount structure that is adjustable for level within the table, and fitted into the all-steel frame. This has been treated with anti-corrosion agents and finally finished with an epoxy paint, all of which combine to make the Hyphen perfect for any environment. Around the playfield, special weatherproof cushions - made from natural rubber - are likewise weatherproofed and selected to provide consistent, high-rebound gameplay.
Unique, Space-Age Styling
The Hyphen looks spectacular, with those space-age ball channels collecting potted balls after each shot. The whole design is minimalist and modern, with the shallow cabinet allowing lots of leg room for seated diners, and those slim legs lending a futuristic air to a traditional game.
And with lots of scope for customisation, you can make it match your outdoor or indoor space with ease. Choose the frame colour, the shade of cloth and even the pocket and logo colours to create something unique and special. The Hyphen is Cornilleau's first major foray into pool - and with its versatility, its precise gameplay and its sensational looks, it's a winner for us.
Accessories Included
Included with your Hyphen table is a comprehensive Cornilleau accessory pack, including two 58-inch fibreglass composite pool cues, a set of 57.2mm spots 'n' stripes balls, a triangle, a diamond, two Master cue chalks and a brush, to look after that beautiful cloth.
The lift-on dining tops are an optional extra. We'd recommend adding them to your order, not only so you can pop them on and entertain your friends after the game, but also because they'll help to protect your cloth. And there's a heavy-duty table cover available too, for maximum protection.
