Polymer-Coated Aspen Playfield & Carpeted Gutters
The Tyler's deep cabinet is made from solid oak timber. This resilient hardwood promises longevity and many years of hard-wearing service. The raked-out legs, with their short support braces, are also oak, and support the table's weight with ease. The rimless top rail of the cabinet is smooth and flattened, and has abacus-style scorers flush-fitted into the surface at both ends. Inside the cabinet, deep gutters catch the pucks if they drop over the edge. The gutters are lined with a carpet material to deaden noise and to prevent damage to the pucks.
The playfield is made from aspen, a wood with an attractive appearance and a propensity for easy shaping - making it a cinch for forming a long, perfectly flat surface for shuffleboard. A polymer coating at a thickness of 0.25 inches ensures a smooth, accurate glide performance for years to come, and scoring zones are clearly marked at each end. Built-in climatic adjusters allow you to compensate for minute changes in the wood and ensure precision playing over all the years to come.
