Product Description
More than 40 years after it was launched, Pac-Man is still one of the most loved arcade games to hit the small screen. Even in an age of high-definition graphics and real action scenes, it has – and will always have – a place in the hearts of gamers worldwide.
But it was only one of many fantastic games to be produced in the 1980s - many of them from one of the pioneers of video gaming, Namco. Now, some of the most famous and some more obscure titles have been collected together in one amazing arcade machine, along with, of course, Pac-Man, for the ultimate retro gaming experience.
The Pac-Man Pixel Bash brings together some 31 of Namco’s most popular releases of the 1980s, along with the 1979 fixed shooter game Galaxian - one of the company’s first major successes. Whichever machine was your favourite at your local arcade, you’re bound to find that game here.
As well as the original 1980 release of Pac-Man, this machine includes many of the sequels of the little round yellow character with the big appetite. You can tackle 1982’s Pac-Man Plus and Super Pac-Man, Pac & Pal from 1983, and Pac-Mania which first appeared in 1987. If you like maze games, you can also try your hand at Dig Dug, Rompers, Dig Dug II, Rally-X and New Rally-X.
But it’s not all maze games, and if your preference lies elsewhere, there are a host of titles on Pac-Man Pixel Bash to keep your fingers busy! If you’re a fan of fixed shooter games, take your pick from Galaxian, Galaga, Gaplus and Galaga ’88. Fancy a horizontal or vertical scrolling shoot ‘em up? Choose from Xevious, Dragon Spirit, Sky Kid, Sky Kid Deluxe and Super Xevious.
Test your skills with multi-directional shooting games Bosconian and Grobda, or immerse yourself in another world as the golden-armoured knight Gilgamesh in the role playing game The Tower of Druaga. Climb the tower’s 60 floors in order to rescue the maiden Ki from Druaga, a demon with eight arms and four legs.
The Pac-Man Pixel Bash brings the thrill of the arcade into the comfort of your home, but with all the same excitement. The commercial grade construction ensures that the brightly decorated cabinet will last for years, no matter how many thousands of games you play.
A 26-inch LCD screen has been upgraded for the best gaming experience, while the authentic arcade controls will take you right back to when video gaming depended on skill and reaction. You can adjust the game settings for difficulty, speed, number of lives and number of points required for a bonus. You can also make adjustments to the coin mech, setting pricing, adjusting game availability, or just disabling the coin mech altogether to make the whole machine free to play. Just plug this fantastic machine in and be ready to play!
