Product Description
AtGames' iconic Legends Ultimate 300 arcade machine has taken the home retrogaming world by storm. And now it's been streamlined in the Legends Ultimate Mini. The ALU Mini takes all the best features from its bigger sibling and crams them into a more compact package. It's great value, it's better for busy homes that can be short on space, and it has an awesome new rotating screen feature that means you can play in vertical or horizontal format.
Like all AtGames video game machines and consoles, the ALU Mini exists in the AtGames ecosystem, boasting all of those groundbreaking features like ArcadeNet and BYOG. It's compatible with third-party software like CoinopsX, and can even be hooked up to consoles or PCs via cable or wirelessly. The original ALU broke the mould for configurable, internet-based retrogaming versatility, and the ALU Mini smashes it all over again!
The ALU Mini comes with 150 great games preloaded and ready to play. Simply switch on the machine and browse a selection of big hitters from the 1980s and 1990s, across both arcade and console formats. Click to pop up the Game List below to see them all. Find that childhood favourite that ate all your Dad's coins at the arcade in the '90s, or discover those exciting challenges that you often heard about - but never played.
And whether you're playing vertical or horizontal games, the Legends Ultimate Mini's all-new rotating monitor has you covered. This unique and useful feature allows you to physically rotate the 18.5-inch HD monitor within the cabinet, so that you can tackle horizontal and vertical arcade games in exactly the way they were meant to be played.
Like all AtGames arcades and consoles, the ALU Mini really starts to shine when it's online and custom-configured for its user. Connect the machine to the internet, and create or log in to your AtGames user account. You'll immediately have access to additional game packs available to purchase, and to the subscription-based ArcadeNet, which offers a huge library of games to play. You can also connect it to your external games centre, like your PC or games console, to play almost anything via the popular Bring Your Own Game feature.
It's compatible with various third-party front ends such as CoinopsX, making the AtGames interface one of the most versatile home arcade gaming systems around. You can stream your games live directly onto streaming services like YouTube and Twitch, or connect it to other AtGames devices via Arcade Play Link. In many cases, you can use third-party controllers such as gamepads and light guns, and you can link the machine to another device (like a PC, MisterFPGA or even a Raspberry Pi) to use its controls, with the display showing on the ALU Mini. No matter what you want to do, you can probably do it on the Legends Ultimate Mini.
The controls mounted into the ALU Mini's panel are of arcade quality. The machine is primarily aimed at solo players, so you'll find a premium joystick, six fire/action buttons and also pinball buttons mounted on the sides of the control panel, with separate flipper and nudge buttons. Of course, if you want to play two-player games - or even three or four-player games - using your own external controllers, this is easy to set up, depending on your controllers.
At 50cm wide, the cabinet is slimmer than the original ALU's 76cm, perhaps saving valuable space in your home. But it loses none of its presence, with the same great cabinet graphics showing off some of the most iconic games on the preload list. The stereo speakers above the monitor boost its audio presence, reproducing game effects and music in crystal clarity, with adjustable volume. The cabinet also has protective metal trim around the edges and a branded top marquee - essential for that true arcade look in your games room.
If you're attracted by the Legends Ultimate and the AtGames ecosystem, but need something a little smaller, a little cheaper and with some great new features, the Legends Ultimate Mini could be the perfect home arcade for you.
