New York City is under attack by super villains and mutants, and it’s up to you to save it – you and the amazing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
From their beginnings in comic books to a hit animated cartoon show and even major movie releases, the heroes in a half shell take on a new challenge as they enter the crazy dimension of pinball. They need your help to beat evil, impress their colleagues April O’Neil and Casey Jones and, of course, eat pizza.
Stern Pinball is the leader in arcade pinball machines, and this eagerly anticipated pin was conceived in conjuction with Nickelodeon. Just like our four heroes, Stern's not only kicked it out of the ballpark, but out of the sewer, too! This table is pure pinball power with more features and details than ever before.
With six balls, three flippers and a Stop & Score mechanical device, which holds the ball on wire ramps for awards, this pin is non-stop crazy ball action. One of the features players will most enjoy is the high speed magnetic spinning pizza – yes, a spinning pizza! – that holds and then throws balls back into play at 400rpm.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pinball machine features eight different modes called Episodes, each of which has a story. Each of the Episodes is represented in the middle of the playfield by the different villains you’ll face. While they do form an overarching story, six are completely random and can be played in any order – shoot the centre target to determine which is next – while two Episodes will be unlocked as you progress through the game. Finish four Episodes to reach a mini wizard mode called Team Up, while completing all eight will take you to the wizard mode of Final Battle.
Along the way there are hurry-ups and combos with three high speed ramps creating the maximum excitement. For example, hit a shot to activate the Ninja training ball lock area behind the upper left flipper and you’ll discover the Turtles’ Lair and their hidden training area where completing training modes will take you to the next level.
Who’s your favourite Turtle? You can choose to be Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael or Donatello, and each Turtle brings with him different skills and power ups. And users can choose different ways to play the game. Cooperative Mode allows progress and features, such as multiball locks and modes completed, to be carried across from player to player.
Team Play allows two or three players to compete against each other- ideal if your family want to play, or you want to take on a contest against your friends. This gives you several different ways in which to play the Teenage Mutant Ninja Heroes pinball machine, ensuring the action never ends and, like the Turtles, you’ll never know the meaning of defeat.
When it comes to artwork, this is probably one of the most fabulous and dynamic machines ever produced. Illustrated by Zombie Yeti, the Pro pin features unique cabinet artwork and a Lair Invasion and Pizza Run-themed full colour translite which just pops with vibrancy. 17 RGB software controlled LEDs and colouring changing illumination make this table the centre of attention wherever it is.
Brand new for this model are custom video scenes and animations which have been created exclusively for this machine. To fully immerse the player in the action, there are speech callouts from 17 different characters and you can’t fail to recognise the original theme tune from the 1987 animated series.
There are three models of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pinball machine from which to choose. This listing describes the Pro, which is the most affordable and accessible version, while the more expensive Premium and LE models contain more features such as the foursome’s famous Glider which allows players to control and direct the ball to the flipper of their choice.
You can see all the differences at a glance using this features matrix. Just click to expand, and choose your preferred model. The LE is limited to a small and exclusive run of machines – so if you want one, be quick!
