Product Description
The Edinburgh is a slate bed pool dining table with a difference. Developed by four-time World Champion pool player Ross McInnes, it combines the flexibility of a pool dining table with the peerless performance of a true tournament pool table.
Amateur and professional players of all levels will immediately realise that the Edinburgh is no ordinary pool diner. The highest quality billiard components are married to a truly dual-purpose design, to create what is probably the ultimate pool dining table for discerning players.
When you order, you can choose your preferred pocket and cushion spec. The Club spec is the standard specification for amateur players, as found on home games room tables, as well as tables installed in pubs and clubs. For the casual player this is all you need - and is the same spec as most British pool tables.
But if you’re a seasoned pro, you might wish to choose the Elite spec cushion. This is cut tighter around the pocket for a more challenging game, and is the specification used on tournament tables around the world for global-level competition. If you’re a true professional and you need to practice for your next tournament, choose the Elite pocket cut for a truly authentic game experience.
The Edinburgh comes in two table sizes - 6ft and 7ft. This enables you to buy the correct table for the room size you have available (read our Pool Table Room Size Guide here to see how to measure up your room). The playfield is based around a single piece of 19mm slate rock, honed and flattened to provide a perfectly level surface. Cushions are true tournament-grade, giving a lively, consistent bounce right across their entire lengths. And the top frame is securely mounted and finished to match the cabinet, with minimalist, elegant metal caps for protection. A racking cloth is included, ready-fitted to the table.
A built-in ball return system collects potted balls and returns them to a storage area at one end of the table. The storage aperture is surrounded by aluminium trim, to protect the table against accidental knocks whilst balls are being removed. Each of the strong legs is tapered in shape, and fitted with an adjustable foot for easy levelling.
Choose to have your Edinburgh in one of seven different finishes. There’s traditional Black or White, contemporary Midnight Grey, or a range of wood finishes including Walnut, Silver Oak and Light Oak. As standard, we fit Hainsworth Match cloth to the Edinburgh. Match is Hainsworth’s tournament-standard cloth, used in countless competitions worldwide.
But Match is only available in a very small range of colours. If you’d prefer something more unusual, we can also fit the full range of Hainsworth Smart British pool cloth or Hainsworth Elite-Pro American speed cloth. There's even the option of Simonis 861, or the ultimate British pool cloth, Strachan Superfine. Just make your choice using the menu above.
The Edinburgh comes with a set of matching two-piece 18mm dining tops. When you’re ready to entertain your guests with something other than your trick shots, simply lift them onto the top rail to create a spacious dining space (or even a work desk). Also included with your table are a set of Aramith red and yellow balls, a triangle and some chalk.
You'll also get a pair of cues. If you order a 7ft table you'll receive 57-inch cues, and with a 6ft table you'll get 48-inch cues. If you're looking for a more special cue, browse our British Pool Cue section to find something really unique.
